In the category of boring behind-the-scenes blogging details, I am thinking of making changes to how my blog looks. I know, booorrring, I've probably already lost your attention.
But if you do care about such design dilemmas, stay with me for another minute. I was reading a food blog today and found it so pleasantly pretty to look at and easy to read, in comparison with my "let's use all the gadgets offered!" busy-looking approach. More magazine-y, you might say. So I'm going to try it out for a while.
The potential downsides seem to be the lack of a running archive that lets you jump to a particular month of posts, and you can't see comments without clicking on a "comments" link. Drop me a line to let me know what you think of the changes, if you get a sec. It's easy to revert back to the original if that's what ends up being preferred. Thanks!
Update 10/12: I am going back to the old style again for a bit. I like the new way, but I want to wait until they get the comment bugs worked out. Thanks for putting up with my schizo blog.

Nate doesn't like it. He thinks it's bland and isn't representative of my personality like the other view. Other thoughts?
Mmm. I like it. It is visually appealing and I think I'd rather click on a picture that looks interesting rather than the title of a posting. Then again, I do like being able to sort and click on past posts. Maybe I'll have a stronger opinion after clicking around a bit !
Just lost some points as posting a comment was difficult & confusing and there were some technical errors. Hopefully Blogger will fix soon?
Okay, this will be my last comment: Maybe "timeslide" is a change for something different while being more similar to your past set-up?
Full disclosure- I was looking at this for my own blog but hadn't had the guts to try it out yet- looks cool!
Thanks for your comments! I don't like the idea that it's difficult to comment. It has taken me so long to get the comments working, and I think I lost many potential commenters with that bug. I like timeslide too, and you're right about the links to previous posts being there. Still mulling it around in my mind.
